My "Trying To Be Healthy" Diet

Welcome back dear readers, well first off, this is not one of those super model healthy diet posts, I am trying to adopt to a healthier lifestyle and thought well... let me share a little in sight.

First off, I am highly allergic to a healthy diet, aren't we all ?😅 so i try to spice it up a bit now and then. The one thing I have learnt for sure and a misinterpretation  is that most people think that by eating a lot you actually gain a lot of weight. I mean... I would have been a circle by now, the point is actually the opposite. The more you eat the most likely you are to loose weight.
Yassss! It's a proven fact, but please don't quote me wrong and go in a whole biscuit diet, the idea is to eat healthy, watch out for what you take in your body. The healthier the more you will loose.

And just to point out, watch out for too much sugar, well... too much of anything is harmful really.

So, My new "trying to be healthy diet" has me on more fruits, hot tea and milk.

Too much detailed diet gets boring and that is why most of us cannot keep up with it , so what I try to do is spice up with some extras.

1. Corn Flakes/ Cereals

What can I say, I am lazy and this is the easiest thing to grab. Knowing how not entirely healthy it is... I spice it up with some fruits.
Berries are a must have, they have been argued and proved that they are really good for an opening meal so there. What i do is mix the berries, be it strawberries or blueberries, with some bananas and into the cereal with some hot milk.
I can't give you scientific facts why this is good but it has been really great for me, i feel a lot more healthier and honestly, there is a good feeling that comes with knowing you take care of yourself.

2. Apples, Hot Milk (bowl of hot milk with cereals) & a home made goodie.

Usually its a pastry like pie, maandazi, chapati. I know what you are thing,... "dude what is so healthy with that?" It's the same principle if you body sugar level is too high, you are told to reduce but not cut off. I like using the same principle in most things. This kind of diet isn't hard to follow through.

Cooking the pastry at home will help you be in control of which ingredients you use and how much.

The apples are more of a dessert, usually I go for one or two green apples.

Hot glass of milk, apples, milk and frozen chocolate flakes
Speaking about chocolate, I would like to point out another point most people get mixed up, yes too much chocolate, especially the normal sweet chocolates may damage your health and well.. add on weight but one or two pieces of chocolate especially dark chocolate is actually very healthy.
Again, it is about decorating your diet that it interests you to follow through.

3. Hot Tea (no sugar) with fruits & a side goodie.

Sadly I don't have a picture for this but i tend to drink a lot of flavored tea through out the day. Usually berry or apple flavors. Sometimes I go with one cup of green tea in the morning but that is it for this kind of tea. Or a nice cup of lime tea and a mix of cinnamon powder.
I do not use sugar at all, in case of green tea as it is a little bit bitter, I use honey instead of.

Now I know what you are thinking, where the eggs at? given that eggs are one of the best day starters. Sadly I am allergic to eggs 😟😞 but every now and then i eat a very little portion.

Scrambled eggs, apples and bananas

So see guys, torturing yourself doesn't always help, following your own customized diet actually makes you look forward to following it.
One last thing, a diet is basically an eating plan and not necessarily a weight loss routine. What you want is to be healthy, too much of everything is harmful but also too little of something is equally harmful.

You can try to follow my thinking... make your own changes, you can add soups (usually i do once in a while or for lunch)
My personal favorite is chicken or fish soup and add different fruits as well.

I hope you will find this article helpful.

Thanks for stopping by,

With love,

Stacy
