Imagine the scenario of waking up in a boutique? surrounded by the things that makes your jaw drop. Done? now imagine them in your room, perhaps right next to your bed.

There are many ways to say it, how to make a mini closet outside your closet or how to build your own fashion space but the important thing is it can literally make you not want to leave your bedroom because you would rather cozy up in your little temple.

Here is how you can build your mini fashion boutique.

1. Get a hanger and hangers.

Yes... A hanger and hangers.

I recently found out that a lot of people refer to "clothing racks" as hanger, so don't be surprised when you bump into sellers that just don't understand what you are talking about.

The clothing rack or as most call it, hanger, is the most important part of the space. This is where you will and should display your clothes and it would add more of a pop if you get matching hangers. Don't make them too much of different colors. You want your temple to stand out not attract bees.

2. Carpet

Well, this is not quite necessary but it does help. If you have a good polished floor you can stick to that but adding a cutesy carpet will allow you the opportunity to sit down every now and then and enjoy the peace of your fashion temple, let it carry you somewhere over a good magazine and glass of wine.

3. Items

You need to fill up your space. Select what items you want to hang on your rack. Always be cautious about the weight, I say this because it almost smashed me once upon a time.

Hang items that are in season, in trend if you are a trend person, in style, your personal favorite and comfort and my favorite, the new!

Pick out more of your items to see if you want to add shoes and bags to the look to give it more life.

      4.Boxes

So what do you do to all your shoe boxes? do you throw them out or you are a keeper like me?
Do you have a habit of collecting random cute boxes? if you do, you can use them as display boxes. Put your shoes and bags on them and use them as your mini boutique displays. If your pocket speaks well to you, you can get customized items for that and perhaps add some lights for a more fresh vibe.

5. Mirror

So you can know who is the prettiest of them all. (Get it? like in snow white? but with a twist 😁😀)

The mirror is not a must have but it is certainly an added accessory that will help make your overall look in your space. You can easily play dress up and practice what to wear all week long.

6. Dummy/ Mannequin

The best accessory you can have is a dummy, not just because it is good for the overall look but because after all the dress ups you will do, you can easily dress up your dummy (give it a name) and the next day you know exactly what you need to wear.

Think about her/him as your styling practice ground.

Having one is not a must but is definitely a plus.

7. Extras

In my list of extras, i added storage boxes and bags, shopping bags like H&M as you know, they give paper bags that you can re-use. I use a lot for more storage and decoration. Throw pillows because i like sitting on my carpet and read or watch some series or movie. A picture to hang for an added cute girly flavor and some magazines, notebooks and pens

The most important thing to remember is that everyone has their own theme, taste and something that speaks to them. I am more of a girly fashionista theme and I stick by that but feel free to change the theme and move things around at anytime. If goth is your thing, you can go with some darker colors and everything fitting to your comfort.

What is your theme? Let me know!
