Sometimes we find ourselves in the position of being at home too much.

Sure, it always start as Netflix & fun but the more you stay home, the more you either get depressed, stressed and naturally lazy.

It's not always intentional, there are times its because we are jobless, sometimes self employed, sometimes holiday/vacation or even waiting to join something like school e.t.c.

The challenge is not really having nothing to do, it's getting too comfortable, so how can you still find something to do even when you feel like Netflix is all you were really born to do?

I made a list of things if you are in such situation, follow it and you shall have no problem going back to work or school.

1. Wake up at the same time, AND GET UP

Waking up is one thing, getting out of bed is another. You need to take a couple of breaths and 3. Say a prayer, have a conversation with God, give your thanks and pray for a better day. If you are not religious then you can always have a moment of self reflection to start your day.
After sometime, this will be a routine, you wont have to set an alarm. This helps you to be more efficient and punctual.

2. NEVER TOUCH YOUR PHONE FIRST

I don't think has much to be said of, ever wondered how much time you spend on your phone? especially when you just wake up? not less than 15 minutes that you could have done something more productive.

3. PRAY OR REFLECT

4.  Exercise/ Refresh

One thing is for most of us, it really is not in our blood to work out, when the topic is brought up all we hear is "pain, pain, PAIN, heck pain" but all you really need to do is enough movements. Perhaps take the stairs instead of the elevator next time, or walk some distance instead of going all the way with the bus or Uber, make a walk around your block/ neighborhood for even just 20 minutes, heck! walk up and down your corridor for 30 minutes, stretch your body, put at least 30 minutes of your morning on this routine. You can also include house chores in a separate 30 minute span.

5. Its Time For Breakfast & Clean ups

You are all sweaty, depending on who you are, the shower then eat or eat then shower. Follow that.

6. DRESS UP!

Clothes have a big part to play in your mentality, how seriously you take your day can have a lot to do with what you are wearing, I mean, think of you with a khanga what work do you really think you can do?
Be comfortable of course, you are home, but if you get a call to go outside you won't start locating your nearest clothes.

7. SHOES

Shoes come with the clothing package, in case they are a bit too much or you leave your shoes at the door step, go with just socks.

8. Read

I don't mean novels, always research, learn a new skill or what to do, make this your job if you don't really have much to do. Get to know yourself better and what you want to do for yourself, your talents and what you wish for yourself. It's about time you wrote down an action plan of how to get that BMW you have been drooling over.

9. Work space

Your surroundings affect you. Avoid the bed. Set up a place and make it your office.
It can even be the kitchen or dining table. It really doesn't matter as long as you are comfortable. (But not too comfortable 😉)

10. Listen to yourself

Don't let anyone put you down and tell you can't be who you want to do. Being always positive is never an easy thing to do but always follow your heart and positivity shall follow.
